Lotus Education is joining forces with Code.X to launch ‘Code for Egypt,’ a transformative 24-month coding and entrepreneurship initiative for ninth & tenth grade students.
Code.X is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth through Computer Science and Human-Centered Design in developing countries and among displaced refugees.
Expanding geographically, Code for Egypt builds upon Code.X's successful three-year youth education program that integrates computer science and human-centered design, instilling essential entrepreneurship and innovation skills in students.
The program features a unique 14-day in-person summer intensive in Cairo, where Code.X volunteers from leading U.S. universities and tech companies will mentor students.
Code.X's curriculum focuses on fostering computational, creative, and critical thinking abilities, empowering youth to become influential change-makers in their communities.
The cohort starts with a 14-day summer camp in the first year, followed by another in the coming year, concluding with a final session in the following year.
